Enjoy Telluride sunsets with live music during Summer Sunset Concert series.
A summer picnic, a glass of wine or a beer on blanket on the soft grass and fantastic sunset views of the San Juan mountains - what could be better?
Only the addition of exceptional live music hosted by the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association (TMVOA) every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Mountain Village's Sunset Plaza.
Now in its 18th summer, these free concerts have become an enthusiastic weekly gathering for guests and visitors as local restaurants provide dine-in and to-go meals, while other attendees bring their own picnic dinners with alcoholic beverages for purchase.
The Sunset Series is a diverse showcase for all types of high-energy live acts, including Bluegrass, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Pop, Rock n' Roll, Australian Soul, and Country and sure to please every type of music lover.
"Once again, we are providing a diverse line-up with a variety that will be fun for everyone," said Teddy Errico, Producer of the music series. "All bands are hot on social media and very talented."
And in the first week of July, participants in the Telluride Mountain Village get a two-for-one free performance for its annual Red, White & Blues Celebration. On July 3, Gospel and Blues singer Paul Thorn takes the stage with a wry songwriting style that meshes with blues, country and rock, followed by Boulder, Colorado's Foxfeather, featuring an Alt-Americana sound backed by by strong blues-rock. On July 4, Trombonist and New Orleans native, Glen David Andrews, brings funk, soul, gospel and rock to the stage, along with Dave Jordan and the NIA, also from New Orleans and Telluride's own Porch Couch.
